Why I Wrote The Blockchain Expedition

My interest in blockchain didn't start with the price charts or the headlines. It started with the technology, specifically, with the question of how you build a system that establishes trust without requiring anyone to trust a central authority. As someone who has spent a career working in IT, security, and financial systems, that question was immediately compelling. Blockchain offered an elegant answer to a problem that has existed since the earliest days of digital communication, and I wanted to understand it properly.

That curiosity led somewhere I didn't entirely expect. The deeper I went into the technology, the more I found myself drawn into the markets it had produced. Cryptocurrencies aren't just a technical curiosity, they represent a genuinely new financial ecosystem, one that challenges long-held assumptions about money, ownership, and value. Understanding how the technology works turned out to be only half the picture. The other half was understanding how the markets behave, which meant studying technical analysis, risk management, and the role that psychology plays in price movements.

"The Blockchain Expedition" is what came out of several years of research, experimentation, and continuous learning. It combines my technical background with everything I've picked up about cryptocurrency markets and trading, not to promote any particular asset or strategy, but to give readers a clear, honest foundation for developing their own understanding.

If you're completely new to blockchain, I hope it gives you a genuinely accessible way in. If you already have some experience, I hope it deepens and sharpens what you already know. Either way, approach it with curiosity and healthy scepticism, the same qualities that got me started in the first place.
